Choice is the method

A new Lovelock chapter
We're planning to welcome you at 921 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive around the first week of November. The exact date is still taking shape, so appointments remain at our Baylen Street location until we confirm the transition.

Restorative movement, breath, sound, and body awareness taught without performance pressure.
The approach
UNWIND is a guided restorative experience for people who spend much of life bracing, hurrying, or trying to get movement right. Instead of chasing a pose or a performance target, we practice noticing: where effort is useful, where it has become automatic, and what changes when you allow more support.
Classes may weave together floor-based movement, comfortable stillness, breath awareness, sound, and reflection. You are invited to adapt, pause, or rest. The point is not to create one shared shape; it is to build a more trustworthy conversation with your own body.

What to expect
No special flexibility or movement background is expected. Bring the body and energy you have that day.
Props, the floor, and variations help reduce unnecessary effort so sensation becomes easier to notice.
Guidance offers options rather than a test. Resting, changing range, or choosing stillness are part of the practice.
We close with time to notice what shifted and identify one simple cue you can return to in ordinary life.
How I work
Agency is not an accommodation added later. It is central to the practice, from how you position yourself to whether you join an invitation.
Pausing can reveal as much as moving. UNWIND treats rest as a skill and a source of feedback, not a failure to keep up.
The useful part is what leaves the room with you: a softer jaw at a red light, an easier breath at work, or an earlier signal that you need support.
A note on scope: UNWIND is an educational wellness experience, not medical or mental-health treatment. Work within your comfort and consult an appropriate healthcare professional about movement restrictions or health concerns.
No. UNWIND is designed around options, curiosity, and rest rather than achieving poses. Beginners and experienced movers can both participate from their own starting point.
Wear comfortable layers you can move and rest in. Class details in the Lovelock schedule will note whether you should bring anything specific; available props vary by event.
No. UNWIND is a guided class or special experience, while massage is an individual hands-on appointment. The two can complement one another but are booked separately.
